Brazilian hotel decorated by Dorothy Draper.?

I am guessing the location is a hotel, perhaps a Dorothy Draper/Carlton Varney piece. Is that a huge shell over the adjacent door?

I'm going with a hall at the Greenbrier...but for once, have to admit I'm not sure

Must be The Greenbrier, but those leaves are very reminiscent of the wallpaper in the Beverly Hills Hotel!

I don't know where it is, but it reminds me of Dallas in the 80s: women with big hair and too short jeans.

The presidential palace in Cairo?

It has to be The Greenbrier. The banana-leaf carpeting and blue walls are the same as the main lobby of The Greenbrier.

Dear EEE, I have absolutely no idea where these grotesque pelmets, carpets, lampshades, stools etc. are.....but please do tell me in order that I may never go there by mistake.

I have no idea but dying to hear - I can see why everyone is making the Dorothy Draper connection!

It's more properly a lambrequin, is it not?
