Ding! Ding! Ding!

You guys are good!  Below is the same view, pre-pelmet, pre-Carleton Varney.  What do you think?

Oh I SO prefer the original - so elegant and graphic. ADORE the floor - it just all ties together so beautifully. Now of course seeing it in black and white helps to unify the vision.

I prefer the Draper touch.

I much prefer this version. Much.

Sorry Carlton... it was much better before. But one can see that you are channeling some of the other warmer rooms at the resort....this look is probably much more appealing to the guests.

I'm not such a fan of Mr. Varney's work. Here or elsewhere. Just sayin'...

Toby Worthington was right. So right. This is so much fresher.

Well, that's a relief...
For a moment I thought poor Mrs Draper had
lost her touch.
Love how the great length of that floor is subdued
by the opposing bands of black tile. That took nerve.

I must join the chorus in favor of this version---hands down, absolutely. Mr. Varney often gets too carried away with the joke.

What a charming dialogue between appearance and meaning.
